The 6th Klaudia Taev International Competition for Young Opera Singers took place
from June 1-5, 2009 in Pärnu, Estonia.

The Competition is a main event of the Pärnu Opera Music Festival - PromFest and was held this year in co-operation with Pärnu theatre Endla, Estonian National Opera, and supported by Pärnu City Goverment, Estonian Ministry of Culture, Cultural Endowment of Estonia, Goethe Institute, Olerex Eesti, Husqvarna, Polish Embassy and Belorussian Consulate. The Competition takes place once in every two year.

The President of the Competition is a singer and a writer Toomas Kuter.
The Artistic Director of the Competition is a conductor Erki Pehk.

1st prize - not awarded

2nd prize - Anatoli Siuko (Belarus)

3rd prize (divided) - Asmik Grigoryan (Lithuania), Pauliina Linnosaari (FInland), Maria Veretenina (Estonia)
